“Continue.” Ao Xie Yun said gloomily.

        1. I think he did not. From what I remember Mo Tian Ji liked and respected his brother and iirc he wanted to work with him to make the clan stronger, but then Mo Tian Yun tried to kill him and Tian Ji began be wary of him and dislike him, eventually leading to the current situation.

          Anyways, Mo Tian Yun is trying to justify his reason for trying to kill his brother and sister and it is simply because he doesn’t want to let go of the power he has. He is just spouting bullshit, I mean, he said this, “Our first and foremost duty is to preserve the clans’ interest and protect the clan. After that, it is protecting ourselves.”

          If his most important duty is to protect the clan, doesn’t that entail working with the people in the clan? He didn’t truly have to step down and let Tian Ji and Qing Wu take over, he simply had to (create and) put them in a position as high or almost as high as his. A trinity of siblings or something. But he had too much shit in his brain and was too selfish to try to do that… If those three with Qing Wu and the Three Ying thing had grown strong and worked together to make their clan stronger, they could have at least expanded their territory, if not becoming the colossus of the Three Middle Heavens… But egoism was too strong and power too enticing.

  17. Thanks for the chapter!! Agreed that he’s a self righteous, bullshitting ass. But I do think it makes him a smart manipulator. As readers of course we know the background story and the “facts” but, in the setting, he’s speaking to a bunch of other young masters who have only heard rumors of Mo clan’s happenings and don’t know the truth. And given that they probably also have ambitions and conceit at the same level as him, when he speaks they’d be manipulated to think as he does, which is proven when he keeps asking Ao what he would do or feel and Ao answers the way he wants him to. He’s definitely unscrupulous but I think he makes for a great villain, and I can’t wait for all the pain Chu Yang will pay him back with.

  18. Did You guys forget that the two yong masters in withe are Gu Du Xing and Chu Yang. This isn’t à pointless chapter nor it was bad writed. I mean, even You guys hated Mo Tian Yun. Chu Yang came whith the intention of kiling Mo Tian Yun, and the author is telling You guys in a roundabout manner why he acts that way. Making is (possible) dead make common sense and not only because he make Qing Wu sufer and loose the sword. What he says is bullshit, but it isn’t bullshit if You look to its deeper meanings and sense. When Reading a strory we should interpretate and look to the sense of words used instead of only pay atention to the superficial stuff, which means You guys don’t know how to read and are telling its the authors fault. It makes me sick

    And this guy actually did his stuff well.

    But frankly, while WE READERS knew that little brother originally had no desire for power and probably grew stronger to help his brother, big bro only saw little brother trying to gain more power.

    So the flaw in his argument only exists cause of factors that WE THE READERS know.

    But the argument was actually good and well done.

  27. At first I wasn’t really happy about the entire chapter being Mo Tian Yun monolguing self-rightously. After finishing it however, I am really glad it exists. The strength of this novel is how complex its characters are and until now Tian Yun was just a one dimensional bad guy. While i do agree that what he did was wrong and that he is still on the bad for the sake of being bad side a bit, there are a few important details i want to mention: for starters, while it was said that Tian Ji was not interested in the throne this was only from the point of view of Tian Ji. If Tian Yun did indeed try to suppress his brother and, being the genius he is, the younger brother dealt with it perfectly- it is not hard to see why the elder brother would feel scared for his position. Another point to mention is that while having 3 geniuses in the same generation does indeed seem great, the more you segment power the more issues will arise. If both younger siblings listened to the eldest one unconditionally it would not be a problem, however as soon as one of them has a different view on a matter(and wields the same power as him) that would indeed cause instability. And we know for a fact that Tian Ji disagrees with his older brother on quite a few things.
    Or i could be an idiot :D.
    Anyway great chapter and in case translator is reading these good job and thanks for keeping this up C:.

  28. The major problem lies in Tian Ji’s mind ability. Tian Yun is stronger in cultivation than is yonguer brother but he can’t win in a fight against it. Don’t You guys see the hiding meaning beind it. Hes telling You guys that if he allowed is brother to grow he would loose the clan leadership to his brother no matter what happened. Why’s that? Simple, everyone will chose the mind , since he’s a genius too in cultivation, same as the older brother. So, after growing, Tian Ji would be as strong as his brother and a more developted mind capability. who would you guys chose as leader? My net is Tian Ji. And since the clan was already splited before Tian Ji showed is intention to fight for the leader pozition what would happen as time pass and Tian Ji gets clouser in cultivation to his brother? He would win even more support. Even if he didn’t fight Tian Yun for leadership, it would still befall under him in the future. Its as eazy as it gets. Do you guys understand now? Its a clan, not a familiar business or standing….

If Tian Ji had the power and not the mind, if he had the mind and not the power, this situation won’t happen. Problem is that he has the mind and the power…. Tian Yun was smart enought to see this, thats why he chose what he chose, otherwise he would want is talented brother to be hand in hand with him.
    But i can be wrong about all of this so wathever, tink what you guys want, its just my personal interpretation of the story😒
