Besides the reasons mentioned, there was another reason why Diwu Qing Rou chose Beyond the Heavens Sect. Beyond the Heavens Sect was very close to the border between Great Zhao and Limitless nation! If Iron Cloud Nation were to perish, Great Zhao would march its army from Iron Cloud through Beyond the Heavens Sect and be in Limitless nation in five days! At that time, if other troops also marched into Limitless Nation from other directions then it would be taken in less than a month!

    Personally, I think the main character is being an idiot… I mean, saving the sect seems like too much work. Just because he fails it would prove nothing. Humans not only are creatures that fail, but sometimes are powerless. So failing doesn’t prove anything.

    Adding in the fact that there are just too many factors involving the sects destruction… it proves nothing.

    He could still have saved his friend, and if his friend died, then he died. Still wouldn’t prove fate because humans can die at any minute…

    But compared with saving a person who died from a car accident to stopping a war… those are 2 completely different scales and he’s trying to compare them… it’s just dumb….

    1. I agree, Chu Yang’s monologue is rather silly. However, I just read a bit of the next chapter… the author has some method to his madness. Though, yes it’s still really silly to assume that you can’t change things when in fact you have already.

      Now the most easy way to achieve is to stop the Prince guy from getting busted or so I think.

    It really was a bad idea. You don’t make contact with the reader just like that, for the fun of explaining a concept, it needs to be extremely relevant. Here, it just breaks the immersion of the reader -.-

  16. Wow, with the Author’s aside, I now understand his mindset. Its a typical powerless mindset.
    It doesn’t matter whether people believe you.
    The only thing that matters is what you do with that information.
    Who the hell would run out screaming the world is going to end like a madman, expecting people to believe him?

    Instead, you make plans and prepare and try to eliminate it before it happens.
    The difference is that Chu knows what will happen, and how it will happen now.
    The easiest way to prevent the sect from dying is to save the prince.

    Simple.

    The crutch of the plan relies on destroying Iron Cloud, the Prince, and the Sect.
    If you prevent any one of those three things, you can prevent his whole scheme from happening, or at least delay it more.
    Save the prince, save the world.

    Author’s judgement is valid, but inadequate.
    Its not only about what you know. But what you do with what you know.
    But what can one person do? Easy, they can do anything, because it is one person. All great things were started by one person.

    Now all Chu needs is some friends and supporters to help him out. I hear that prince has quite a bit of power.

    Disregarding the vague scenario the author listed here, the MC certainly has ways to make people believe him. At the very least, I believe he could make his master believe that he knows of the future. If he were to describe many events of the future, as well as things that have already happened like why he told the master the “No stone unturned in the river” line in the early chapters, and things like that, on top of his multiple mysteries surrounding the Mc that they already know… that is enough to at least give him a chance of taking him a little seriously. Not only that, if he were to tell them the sword point is in their sect (only people he trusts) then he would have very solid evidence of his knowledge being real right there. It is truly always underestimated in these stories of how the time traveler can make people believe them, at the very least in this novel. If I were to make a comparison to the earth scenario that this guy gave: what if that time traveler just started countless events in the future, be lottery tickets, national news stories, whatever (of course only telling the few important people to prevent butterfly effects as much as possible caused by his predictions). I believe that those few people would have little choice but to believe him. I’m fine with just having the MC not tell them – that’s his choice and for the story I don’t mind it, I probably prefer him to not be known as a time traveler to the other characters, but the author shouldn’t act like people would never believe him and then give this retarded earth scenario acting as if he knows everything.
